Your new role

  • Serve as a Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) on payroll-related projects and initiatives.
  • Act as payroll functional lead on system upgrades and migrations.
  • Work with central IT teams to ensure system patching is tested and successfully applied to production in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through proactive data analysis, root cause analysis process walkthroughs and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives related to payroll and wider HR operations.
  • Partner with HR, Finance and other internal teams to support implementation of regulatory process and system changes
  • Support the execution of payroll-impacting projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Apply project management methodologies to drive successful delivery of payroll initiatives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, executive reporting, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and actionable plans.
  • Drive efficiency and Simplification agenda for payroll and HR operations.
  • Lead and participate in testing activities related to payroll systems, integrations, and process changes. E.g. Drafting UAT scripts
  • Prepare and verify documentation and reports related to payroll projects.
  • Conduct research and prepare presentations or reports to support management decisions.
  • Be escalation point for complex technical payroll queries
  • Ensure robust data governance processes in place to maintain integrity and alignment across all systems
  • Flexibility to support day to day payroll and HR operations to drive deeper process understanding, and support process resilience and cross training

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years high volume, complex payroll experience, including direct payroll processing responsibilities.
  • Relevant project management experience and professional credentials.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Irish payroll, including tax regulations and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with complex HRIS and Time and Attendance workflows and integrations.
  • Advanced excel skills and strong capability with Power BI and Power Query
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust, rapport and credibility within the business
  • Strong working understanding of GDPR and considerations in HR and payroll processes
  • A strong team player who lives the company values daily

    Desirable:
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS Payroll, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and UKG Time and Attendance.
  • Direct experience leading payroll system migrations and upgrades a distinct advantage.
  • Professional credentials and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in relevant areas including payroll (IPASS), HR and taxation.
  • Experience in international payroll
