Payroll Officer – 9-month Contract

Your new role

As the Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of delivering accurate and timely payroll services for employees across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include processing monthly payroll, managing statutory deductions, handling payroll queries, maintaining employee records, and supporting audits and compliance activities. You’ll work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations throughout the contract period.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments, and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence handling employee queries
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industries is beneficial but not essential.
