A well-established city centre accountancy practice providing audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services is seeking a Part Qualified or Recently Qualified Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple assignments and delivering high-quality client service.

The role offers broad exposure across all areas of practice and excellent opportunities for professional development within an ACCA Platinum Approved Training Practice.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing a varied workload, including:

  • Preparing financial statements for: limited companies, sole traders, partnerships
  • Assisting with and carrying out audit assignments.
  • Preparing audit exempt financial statements.
  • Preparing management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Completing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Assisting with corporation tax and income tax compliance assignments.
  • Preparing and filing Companies Registration Office (CRO) returns.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by responding to queries and providing a professional, timely service.
  • Managing multiple client assignments and meeting competing deadlines.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the efficient delivery of client work.
  • Assisting with a range of ad hoc accounting, taxation and advisory projects.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Be part qualified or recently qualified (ACCA, ACA or CPA).
  • Have previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Be able to manage multiple assignments and prioritise work effectively in a busy practice environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong client-focused approach with excellent relationship management skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Have sound technical accounting knowledge.
  • Be proficient in accounting software such as Bright, Sage and Thesaurus (or similar practice software).
  • Be proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality work.
