Part Qualified Accountant – Immediate Start – 3-Month Contract - West Dublin - €40,000–€55,000
Your new company
An established and well-known retail/FMCG organisation based in West Dublin is seeking to hire a Part Qualified Accountant on an initial 3‑month contract, with an immediate start. This is a fast‑paced finance environment offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across financial reporting and month-end activities within a supportive team. The role will be 3 days on-site, with a salary in the region of €40,000–€55,000 DOE, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will support all areas of financial reporting for multiple retail sites during a busy period. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, completing journal entries, and performing balance sheet reconciliations. You will also support group reporting requirements, manage weekly cash controls, and assist with revenue returns to ensure compliance with deadlines. In addition, you will support audit processes, acting as a point of contact for auditor queries, and respond to queries from various stakeholders across the business. You will also have the opportunity to identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements, while supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required. This is a hands-on role suited to a candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing a broad range of finance responsibilities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or possess equivalent experience, with a strong background in financial reporting, month-end processes and reconciliations. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines, and working across different areas of finance.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential, along with excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders across the business. You should be confident in Excel, particularly when working with large data sets, and experience with ERP systems will be advantageous.
You must also be available for an immediate start, comfortable working on-site three days per week, and ideally have previous experience in contract or temporary roles, with the ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of €40,000–€55,000 DOE, with some flexibility for the right candidate, along with the opportunity to join a fast-paced and collaborative finance team. This contract offers valuable exposure to financial reporting, month-end processes and multi-site accounting, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic commercial environment.
