You will be joining one of Ireland's first compliance-based organisations that provides representative services required by companies outside the EU, to enable them to comply with their regulatory obligations in the EU, including GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, Digital Services Act, Terrorist Content Online Regulation and Network & Information Security 2 Directive. It is one of the leading providers of these services. Currently, operated solely by the Managing Director, the company has grown to the stage that it requires employees to enable continued growth while existing clients remain supported.
Your new role
- Providing guidance to clients as to their regulatory obligations which we can assist them with
- Taking new clients from new enquiries to quote and then commencement of service.
- Managing existing clients’ appointments, including their annual renewal process.
- Reviewing client-provided documentation for potential errors or misunderstandings
- Reviewing email inboxes, triaging relevant communications for our clients from spam communications, acknowledging and forwarding those communications to our clients.
- Video calls with the Managing Director (and, later, the junior team) on a daily basis.
- Discussing clients’ requirements on video calls.
- Chasing clients for documentation and payment.
- Ad-hoc occasional project work, e.g. procurement of new service providers, preparation of internal company documentation (such as operations manual and training materials)
- Once settled in
- Assisting with the recruitment of, and then the training and supervision of, a team of a further 1–3 (remote) Operations Assistants performing these same duties.
- Managing the company overall during periods of leave by the Managing Director.
- Potential to represent the company at conferences and events.
What you'll need to succeed
- Legal or compliance background, ideally as a Senior Paralegal level or equivalent (e.g. senior level legal secretary)
- Experience of GDPR, Digital Services Act and other compliance regulations
- Experience of managing a small team, ideally remotely
- Experience of working remotely. Highly motivated, especially in a remote environment
- High level of attention to detail & good writing and numeracy skills
