Your new company

Our client in the construction and engineering industry is currently seeking an Office Administrator on a temporary basis.

Your new role

This role will entail handling many aspects of administrative operations and providing a high level of support in various managerial and organisational aspects. It includes efficient and smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis.
You will be responsible for setting up projects, data organisation, filing project information. You will handle accounts tasks, including invoicing and expense tracking. You will use accounting software for accurate and efficient financial record-keeping. You will handle debtor management, prepare bi-monthly VAT returns and create and update databases/records for financial information and other data. You will update company policies when necessary. You will answer phone calls, deal with emails and queries. You will track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary. You will organise staff trainings and update CPD log. You will organise company events. You will also be responsible for general office management: liaising with suppliers and clients; booking transport & accommodation; keeping personnel records; preparing presentations; social media. Training will be provided.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have administrative experience in a construction related business previously (engineering, contracting etc). Experience in accounts/ bookkeeping would be an advantage. You will have strong communication/ interpersonal skills and excellent organisational abilities. This is a standalone administrator role for a small office, so you will need to be able to work independently.

Strong Word / PowerPoint / Outlook/ Excel knowledge. Quickbooks/Sage experience is advantageous.
ISO experience / experience of using social media for promotion, business development is also advantageous.
