Fantastic opportunity with a large Cork-owned company in a very broad role for a newly qualified accountant.

Your new role
You will be part of a 6-person Finance Team, reporting to an experienced Financial Controller.

Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified through experience.

Your new role
You will be part of a 6-person Finance Team, reporting to an experienced Financial Controller.
It is a very broad job that covers the following:
- Assist in the month-end process including bank postings, accruals, fixed assets and prepayments.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing bi-monthly management accounts and reports.
- Assist in preparing the submissions of monthly tax returns (VAT, PAYE, RCT etc.).
- Assist the procurement team in accurate recording of purchase orders.
- Involved in the statutory audit process.
- Record credit card transactions and reconcile to monthly statements.
- Perform monthly vendor balance reconciliations to vendor statements.
- Assist finance team members with various tasks and projects as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified through experience.
- Ability to meet weekly / monthly deadlines.
- Ability to work flexibly on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working within a busy finance department.
