Mechanical Technician – Shift Role

Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems and equipment to ensure optimal facility operations.
- Assist with upgrades and modifications to building systems and equipment as needed.
- Review assigned work orders, assess required time and materials, and complete repairs efficiently. Use available systems to track progress and completion.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives by ensuring all systems operate at peak performance.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary to complete maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections of existing installations to verify compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Apply established procedures to resolve routine issues, with limited discretion in decision-making.
- Execute tasks based on clearly defined responsibilities, methods, and processes, under close supervision and guidance.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school certification required, along with 1–2 years of relevant work experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
