Your New Role
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter who will play a key role within the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable upkeep and troubleshooting of equipment and systems at power generation facilities in Dublin. This includes working with a broad range of mechanical components—from valves to large rotating machinery—to support operational performance in line with demanding efficiency, availability, environmental, and commercial standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of hands-on planned and reactive mechanical maintenance fitting activities in a heavy mechanical work environment, in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS
  • Preparation and review of task specific Method Statements and Risk Assessment
  • Carry out authorised roles under the safety rules as required (Safe Systems of Work)

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • 2+ years Thermal, Hydro, or renewable generation plant hands-on mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent
  • FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent
  • Full Category B driving licence
  • Experience working on valves, pumps, gearboxes, installation and removal of heavy plant equipment
  • Experience and technical knowledge of power station mechanical maintenance procedures or mechanical maintenance practices in similar heavy process industry
  • Ability to follow maintenance procedures
  • Strong safety culture and ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the use of MS Office suite and computer systems
  • Experience and Certification in the use of lifting / slinging equipment and manual handling.
