Your New Company
A market leading aviation maintenance specialist based in north Dublin. They specialise in areas such as engineering and testing, airframe, engine, safety slides and rafts, industrial gas and turbines, and tooling. They utilise the latest advanced technologies and processes to deliver support for Testing, Inspection, Modification, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul. Their team of dedicated professionals keep customers centre stage through personal contact support tailored to clients' operational needs, product partnerships to improve on-wing performance and reliability, technical support on-site removing the need to navigate call centres, tailored work scopes to satisfy client requirements and the ability to rapidly gain new capabilities to support customer needs.
Your New Role
You will be joining a company which is expanding rapidly due to market demand and is making major strides and sustainability developments in the aviation sector.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting aircraft for mechanical problems or damage
- Repairing and replacing aircraft parts, such as engines, bearings, and landing gear
- Testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems to ensure proper working conditions
- Refuelling and servicing aircraft with necessary fluids and oils
- Running regular diagnostic tests on aircraft
- Responding to reported mechanical issues
- Ordering and replacing malfunctioning parts on the planes
- Cleaning and maintaining the engines
- Reporting any serious issues to management
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A trade qualification, or a mechanical engineering diploma / degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience working previously in a maintenance position, working day to day on various types of heavy machinery.
- Experience working in the aviation industry, manufacturing, automotive or similar industry.
- Electrical experience is desirable but not compulsory.
- A driving licence.
