Our client has been at the forefront of managing water and wastewater assets and creating sustainable water and wastewater solutions.
From feasibility studies to the design, construction, and maintenance of their facilities, they are a leading facilities contractor in setting the standard for allowing their clients to recycle and recover resources.


Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical components, control panels, and related systems
  • Install and service industrial communication networks and heavy-duty electrical machinery
  • Conduct inspections and perform quality assurance testing
  • Carry out wiring, glanding, and termination for pumps, motors, VSDs, circuit boards, and panels; install conduits, cable trays, and ladders, and pull new cables as required
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities using the CMMS system
  • Support plant operations outside regular hours during start-up, normal operations, and shutdown procedures
  • Participate in the on-call rotation schedule
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols; maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer
  • This role requires a flexible and responsive approach, as it supports a 24/7 operational plant; regular after-hours and weekend involvement will be necessary as part of the electrical support team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant national and industry technical standards and compliance regulations
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and analytical thinking, particularly in connecting operational efficiency to financial performance
  • Operate effectively in a high-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently
  • Be prepared to carry out physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces.

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • 5 years of relevant electrical experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Electrical National Craft Certificate essential.
  • Very strong fault diagnosis & solving experience
  • Ability to read complex electrical drawings and P&IDs
  • Specific experience with Rockwell / Allen Bradley Control Systems and PLCs, Endress and Hauser and ABB instrumentation, Auma actuators is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience of ATEX zoned areas is also advantageous.
