Role: Maintenance Co-ordinator

Location: Carrigtwohill, Cork

Permanent Position – Onsite

Salary: €55,000 - €61,000 D.O.E + great Benefits

At Hays Recruitment, we have a fantastic opportunity with a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions, serving clients across the pharmaceutical, food, and consumer goods sectors. Based in Carrigtwohill, Cork. The company operates a modern manufacturing facility focused on quality, efficiency, and sustainability. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Maintenance Co-ordinator to join their team and play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across production and facilities.
Duties will include:
  • Co-ordinate maintenance technicians in the safe practice of all duties to support production and building operations.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment as prescribed in the maintenance scheduling system.
  • Maintain all inside mechanicals of the building (i.e. troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, compressed air etc.) and outside grounds, including landscaping maintenance, repairs.
  • Complete maintenance schedule to minimise downtime and liaise across all relevant departments.
  • Support and assist with shutdown planning and organise all relevant documentation and activities.
  • Co-ordinate planned downtime with the Production Manager and maintain the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure Health and Safety Procedures are always adhered to, reviewed when necessary by the H&S Department and implemented accordingly.
  • Write and implement procedures and work instructions as required.
  • Oversee and coordinate installation of all equipment and machinery.
  • Responsible for the ordering and obtaining of all parts and supplies necessary for the maintenance function.
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring that procedures are followed and contract terms optimised.
  • Encourage the ethos of continuous improvement and innovation through the maintenance function.
  • Attend classes or seminars as required.
  • Perform other related duties as conditions warrant.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level Qualification in an Engineering or Maintenance Discipline or similar, e.g. Diploma, Trade etc.
  • 2 years + experience in similar role
  • Proficient and confident in use of Computer Systems
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • Experience of mechanics and pneumatics
  • Full B Driving Licence
Desirable not essential:
Recent hands-on experience of industrial mechanical fitting
