Branch Manager – Air & Sea

Your new company

Our client is a local and global specialist in air, sea, road freight services, logistics solutions, project transport, courier and customs clearance.

Your new role

Overall responsibility for the daily operations and financial performance of the Air & Sea Branch. This includes overseeing all aspects of Air & Sea operations, customer service, procurement, carrier relationships, compliance, sales support, staff management, and ensuring the delivery of branch financial targets.

  • Oversee all operational activity for Air & Sea products within the branch, ensuring service excellence and adherence to global standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with SOPs, product guidelines, customs requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, co-loaders, service providers, and internal product teams.
  • Lead the execution of departmental KPIs and operational targets, including On-Time Performance, File Quality, Gross Profit, Cost Control, Job Closure Discipline, and Days to Invoice.
  • Develop short-, mid-, and long-term operational strategies to support growth plans for both air and sea products.
  • Manage the financial performance of the branch, ensuring revenue optimisation, cost control, and achievement of profitability targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews, develop staff capabilities, and ensure adequate workforce planning.
  • Support business growth by preparing commercial input for RFQs and assisting the sales team with operational insights and pricing structures.
  • Work closely with Sales and Key Account Management (KAM) to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with Air and Ocean Product teams to enhance service offerings and customer satisfaction.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant management experience within Air and/or Sea Freight operations.
  • Strong understanding of international supply chain processes (from booking to final delivery).
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, carrier procurement, freight rate structures, and global trade compliance.
  • Experience managing P&L, budgeting, and financial KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
