Our client has been at the forefront of managing water and wastewater assets and creating sustainable water and wastewater solutions.
From feasibility studies to the design, construction, and maintenance of their facilities, they are a leading facilities contractor in setting the standard for allowing their clients to recycle and recover resources.

Responsibilities

  • The capacity to guide, oversee, inspire, and lead a group of highly qualified electricians in a highly automated industrial processing setting.
  • To carry out maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, such as PLCs, instrumentation, and variable speed drives, to maintain dependable and safe machinery.
  • Ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with site regulations and guidelines.
  • Using the PEMAC maintenance management system, make sure that scheduled equipment maintenance procedures are completed efficiently and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Using the PEMAC maintenance management system, assign team members maintenance tasks.
  • Make sure the maintenance staff logs every maintenance task they complete on the PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Talk to the maintenance planner about PMs, closed near-misses, and the backlog of tasks.
  • Reduce equipment downtime via prompt action, efficient root cause analysis, and sound problem-solving methods.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Time-served Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of switch gear, MCC controls, relay logic and various AC and DC voltage systems.
  • High-level diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical process plants and associated maintenance activities with the wastewater industry.
  • 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of H&S statutory requirements, responsibilities and obligations.
  • Good knowledge of Alan Bradley PLC, Ethernet, ControlNet, Device Net & Profibus communications protocols.
  • Good knowledge of ABB Variable Speed Drives.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ATEX zoned areas.
  • Comp Ex certification.
  • Medium voltage switching experience and qualifications.
  • Familiar with SCADA process control systems for process and fault diagnosis.
