The Land Development Agency (LDA) is the State’s affordable housing delivery body. Its main role is to acquire and develop State and other land to deliver affordable homes, supporting the creation of thriving communities and delivering ongoing positive social impact. It is overseen by an independent Board of Directors and has total capitalisation of up to €8.75bn. To date €6.25 billion of equity capital has been committed by Government and a further €2.5bn capitalisation is permitted under legislation from other sources/debt. The LDA is active on more than 20 State Land sites and has a delivery pipeline in excess of 25,000 homes. The Agency also works in partnership with the country’s largest and most experienced homebuilders and will deliver a further 8,000 homes under its Project Tosaigh initiative. Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.

Your new role

The Project Planner will be a key member of the Construction Team and offers a fantastic opportunity to support the management of complex residential and regeneration projects through the development life cycle. The successful candidate will assist in the creation, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules, ensuring the highest standards of time management and logical integrity in accordance with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the active monitoring of projects, including the preparation and delivery of detailed progress reports for Internal stakeholders and the senior management team across the full development lifecycle, including Feasibility, Design, Statutory Planning, Procurement, Construction, and Handover.
Assist in establishing and maintaining standards and documentation to ensure consistency in Contractor/Developer programmes across the Agency portfolio.
Conduct regular site engagements to gather live progress data, ensuring the accuracy of the master schedule.
Prepare clear, data-driven progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs for Internal Stakeholders and the Senior Management team.
Identifying programme risks and opportunities, supporting the Construction Manager in applying mitigation measures.
Provide technical support for change management, assessing the impact of design variations or delays on the master
schedule.
Assist in facilitating planning workshops with project teams and professional consultants to drive consistency in scheduling methodology.
Promote a proactive planning culture by maintaining professional relationships with both internal teams and external technical consultants.
Perform regular Integrity Checks on schedules to identify hard constraints, out-of-sequence progress, logic failures, etc.
Maintain accurate project registers, delay logs, and audit trails of schedule changes for record-keeping purposes.
