Your new employer is a well-established engineering and project delivery consultancy specialising in the design, management and supervision of complex building projects for Irish and international clients.
Operating primarily within the industrial sector, they support leading pharmaceutical companies with high-quality engineering and project management expertise. With decades of experience, they have built strong client relationships and a reputation for successfully delivering projects in both new and existing facilities.
Their multidisciplinary capabilities span CSA and MEP engineering, as well as project management and quantity surveying, offering clients a fully integrated project delivery service.

Role Details:
  • Location: Dublin 02, travel to the client’s premises may be required.
  • Salary Range: €38,000 - €45,000
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:15 pm, Friday 08:30 am – 16:00 pm

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out structural design calculations and develop analytical models using appropriate engineering software
  • Draft and prepare drawings, designs and diagrams
  • Develop design ideas and technical solutions for civil and structural elements
  • Undertake supervised design tasks and take responsibility for small project work packages
  • Coordinate with Civil Structural Technicians for production of drawings and models
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and inspections as required
  • Periodically to visit sites and take measurements
  • Maintain awareness of current engineering standards, legislation, and best practice

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Typically, 2–5 years’ professional experience in an engineering design office or similar environment.
  • Experience working on a variety of project types is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations
  • Full working knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to produce detailed technical drawings to a high standard
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as: TEKLA, Tedds, Robot, STAAD Pro, QSE or similar

Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to research technical subjects and apply learning to design tasks
  • Willingness to collaborate and respond to the needs of multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Developing project management and communication skills.
