Your new role

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project teams by providing accurate cost management and financial advice. This role will be both site and office based.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
  • Support the measurement and valuation of works in progress on-site
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and manage procurement
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
  • Monitor project costs and report on any variances or potential risks
  • Help manage subcontractor accounts, including payments and variations
  • Maintain accurate records of all project-related financial documentation
  • Support senior QS and project teams in contract administration and commercial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with site teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or an internship in the construction industry is a plus.
