IT Security & Networks Admin | Perm | 3 days onsite in Dublin City Centre

Role Overview

We are seeking an ICT Security & Networks Administrator to join our Technology team. Reporting to the Head of ICT Security & Networks, you will help maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services in a hybrid network environment.

You will assist in configuring and managing networking and data communications infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, while supporting ICT security technologies. The role involves monitoring security alerts, responding to suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with best practices and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support network security tools (firewalls, access management, etc.)
  • Evaluate security of new products and services (on-premise and cloud)
  • Troubleshoot and analyse network security issues
  • Monitor logs and reports for anomalies
  • Support auditing, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computing, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Industry-recognised certifications in Network and Security discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in network security administration
  • Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, DMZ, VPN, DNS, PKI
  • Experience with security technologies (Fortinet, Checkpoint, IPS, content filters)
  • Familiarity with cloud networking and security concepts
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS

    Desirable:

  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
  • Experience with SIEM/NDR tools, identity management, and Microsoft Azure security solutions
