IT Director Build & Lead a Global Infrastructure Division

A global industrial technology company is seeking an experienced IT Director to build and lead its standalone IT organisation. This is a high-impact role focused on infrastructure, ERP implementation, and strategic technology enablement across international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of a new ERP system.

  • Oversee infrastructure, system administration, and application support across global sites.

  • Drive continuous improvement of IT practices aligned with business needs and technological advancements.

  • Take a hands-on role in network administration, server maintenance, and user support.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and service delivery.

  • Advise senior leadership on technology strategy and enablement.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and security protocols.

  • Lead upgrades of Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, etc.).

  • Partner with corporate IT teams on enterprise rollouts, security deployments, and patching.

  • Lead local security initiatives to mitigate risk.

  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.

  • Oversee asset management and deployment of IT equipment.

  • Coach and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ethical leadership.

    Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience in a multi-location manufacturing environment.

  • 4+ years in a leadership role with senior executive engagement.

  • Experience with international data security and compliance (e.g., GDPR).

  • Proven track record in software development and implementation.

  • Deep expertise in systems, networks, databases, and security.

  • Advanced experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Salesforce.

  • Strong knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Data Lake).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Technical certifications a plus (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CITM, CTO).
