Part Qualified Financial accountant required for global insurance company : hybrid working, north Dublin, €50k

Your new company

This global insurance company have offices around the world. With the head of their EMEA operations based in North Dublin, they are seeking a part qualified accountant to join their team. This firm are a leader in their field, offering specialist insurance in key areas. They are in a phase of growth and there has never been a better time to join the team. The office is based in North County Dublin, accessible from the M1, M50 and by train.


Your new role

You will be tasked with duties such as

  • Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with Group reporting timelines.
  • Compile and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all documentation and backup are accurate and complete.
  • Assist in strengthening financial controls and maintaining clear, documented procedures throughout the finance team.
  • Collaborate with senior finance colleagues to enhance reporting processes and drive automation initiatives.
  • Engage with internal departments such as underwriting, claims, and actuarial to collect and analyse financial information.
  • Provide support for finance operations including the administration and reporting of insurance premium taxes, technical accounts, and reinsurance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Play a key role in the year-end audit process, contributing significantly to the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Participate in the development of finance-related inputs for the company’s business planning activities.
  • Prepare financial data for internal review ahead of submission of regulatory filings and tax return

What you'll need to succeed

Please note those applying must hold a valid EEA passport or relevant visa before applying. This role will not be offering visa sponsorship. Applicants must also be available for an in-person interview in the Dublin office as this is not an international search.


To be considered, you must have :
  • Ideal candidates will be working or have exposure to the insurance or wider financial services industry.
  • Part qualification – ACCA or similar, or working towards
  • 5+ years experience working in a financial accounting focused role
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


What you'll get in return

This role offers a starting salary of up to €52,000, and a benefits package including pension, healthcare cover, life insurance amongst others. There is a hybrid working policy in place, with the set-up of 2 days from home and 3 days based in office. This role offers support for completion of exams, and the opportunity to grow and develop in the coming years. You will work alongside an experienced team and receive second-to-none training.
