Insulation Project Manager required for growing West Cork organisation

Your new company

This company is a growing construction/energy contractor based in West Cork. They service a multitude of projects in both Cork and Kerry.


Your new role

This role involves recruiting, leading and motivating an insulation installation team.

Duties include:

  • Oversee the entire project from site survey to design to the final installation.
  • Create a project plan and setting timelines for each step of the project.
  • Define the scope of each project and make sure we stay on track and on budget.
  • Allocate resources as needed – materials, labour, office staff time etc.
  • Recruit, lead and motivate an insulation installation team.
  • Once the team is developed, they will need to schedule the team, assign tasks and make sure all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Work with the sales and office teams which will involve the following:

o Work with administrative staff to ensure all SEAI grant applications are completed accurately and submitted on time.
o Providing all necessary documentation to the office team, including before-and-after photos.
o Collaborate with finance to track project costs.

  • Be the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Be the contact for any issues that arise from unexpected structural issues to supply chain delays.
  • Be able to thin on their feet and come up with solutions to keep the project moving forward.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years’ experience in retrofit works.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, construction management, energy engineering, project management or have a trade background and have upskilled.
  • Proven track record in project management, ideally within the energy efficiency, retrofit or construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of SEAI schemes, building regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors
