HR Operations Lead - Construction industry - Salary Depending On Experience

Your new role

  • Lead HR Operations:Drive the streamlining of HR processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement a quality approach to ensuring we deliver on our governance commitment relating to the operationalising of our people policies and procedures.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor HR Operations staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth. Assist the HR Director in all elements of the performance management process; working with the team on goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Data Management: Manage the HR database, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of employee data. Partner with project management teams to proactively support employee relations issues.
  • Communicate meaningful observations and recommendations from analysis undertaken across a variety of stakeholders
  • Improve and develop robust processes for the provision of a range of regular and ad-hoc people data reporting, e.g. management dashboards, absence reporting.
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes where possible
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of information in the HR system.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for line manager and employee enquiries and issues, promoting a positive work environment
  • Proactively support the HR team on solutions in relation to emerging people issues following best practice.
  • Support the team in providing guidance to Line Management on all aspects of people management and ensurea consistent approach across the Company.
  • HR Projects: Proactive contribution to projects across multiple areas including Diversity & Inclusion and Continuous Professional Development
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Key role in overseeing interdependencies between HR and Payroll teams to ensure error-free payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with agreed procedures
  • Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with relevant external vendors and third-party providers to ensure they understand our business and optimise the services and solutions to match our business requirements (e.g. EAP service)
  • Stakeholder Management: Influence effectively across the organisation, including at a senior level, to ensure key recommendations are adopted

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years experience working in the area of HR, governance and data management and analysis
  • Experience working in the Blue or White Collar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including presenting and reporting at Senior Leadership level
  • Creative and proactive in finding effective solutions to complex challenges
  • A process-oriented approach with high attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and ability to question data validity, practices and processes
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment and to deliver while working under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience as the key point of contact for HRIS and strong capabilities across the full Microsoft Office Suite
