HR Operations Coordinator | 18-month contract | €38k | Cork City | Hybrid
Your new company
Your new company is a regulatory body, responsible for developing and inspecting standards within the healthcare sector. They now require an experienced HR Administrator on an 18‑month contract basis, linked to a major HRIS implementation project.
Your new role
As HR Coordinator, you will provide high-quality, wide-ranging administrative and project support across a busy HR Operations function. This is a key role offering stability, continuity and the opportunity to grow within an established Cork-based team. Day-to-day, you will manage HR inboxes, employee queries and HR documentation, while coordinating administrative processes across the full employee lifecycle. You will prepare letters, salary certificates, updates and organisational documents, and maintain HR systems with exceptional accuracy, including onboarding, leave calculations and employee changes. You will also be responsible for auditing data and supporting payroll readiness, as well as managing trackers and ensuring GDPR‑compliant record keeping.
A significant part of the role involves supporting the HR Officer, particularly as the wider team becomes heavily involved in a large HRIS implementation. This includes picking up business as usual activity, providing backup during busy periods, and proactively spotting potential issues, errors or inconsistencies. You will also support HR projects, including elements of organisational development, and contribute to continuous improvements where you see opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong organisational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems is essential. You will bring 2–3 years of HR administration or generalist experience, along with the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, especially when managing high-volume or number-focused tasks. A strong head for detail is critical, as is the confidence to analyse information, problem-solve and anticipate issues before they arise.
Experience with HR systems is required. You will also have experience preparing documents or presentations in a corporate setting and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels. Success in this role will depend on resilience, integrity, sound judgement, and an ability to remain calm and organised in a changing environment.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary and an 18‑month contract with an Employer of Choice in Cork, along with 22 days annual leave and hybrid working with 1–2 days onsite per week. You will gain valuable exposure to a major HRIS implementation and work closely with an experienced and supportive HR Operations team.
