Hays are delighted to represent a well established organisation delivering social services across multiple regions. As the organisation continues to evolve, the business requires an experienced HR Administrator to support the busy HR operations, workforce analytics and reporting.
Your new role
As HR Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of effective HR operations and data related decision‑making. Working as part of the HR team and reporting to senior HR management, you will provide comprehensive administrative, analytical and reporting support across the full HR lifecycle.
This is a role that requires high attention to detail, requiring strong analytical ability, excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage priorities throughout the day. You will work in a fast‑paced, regulated environment where accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
1) HR Data Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain and produce reports for the HR team and reports covering headcount, turnover, absence, recruitment and compliance.
- Analyse HR data to identify trends, risks and opportunities and support evidence based decision‑making.
- Respond to ad hoc HR data requests from management and external bodies.
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement of HR data quality, systems and reporting processes.
2) HR Operations & Administration
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR function.
- Coordinate timesheet processing and support payroll data submissions.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR and regulatory requirements.
- Produce compliance reports when required weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.
- Support consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
3) HR Systems & Metrics
- Develop and maintain HR information systems and management reporting tools.
- Produce HR metrics, dashboards and periodic analytical reports.
- Support data integrity across HR systems and processes.
4) Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Assist with GDPR‑related subject access requests and data queries.
- Support HR audits and file reviews to ensure compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
5) Communication & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with HR colleagues, managers and wider stakeholders.
- Support senior HR management through preparation of reports, presentations and workforce data.
- Escalate risks or issues appropriately.
6) Flexibility & Continuous Improvement
- Support service improvements and HR priorities as they evolve.
- Undertake additional duties in line with role development and organisational needs long term.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant third‑level qualification (e.g. HR, Business, Data Analytics or relative discipline).
- Proven experience in HR administration, HR operations or HR data/analytics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A full driving licence and ability to travel across the region.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification or working towards the same.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
- Experience using reporting tools would be ideal.
