Groundwork Site Manager - Shankhill Development - €40:00 - €55:00 Per Hour

Your new company

Within your new contractor, they view every project as an opportunity to improve on what’s gone before. To foster that mindset, they hire the brightest and best in the industry, encourage a collaborative approach, and embrace innovative thinking and new technology.
Right now, they are seeking experienced and skilled management members across Dublin, the Midlands and Louth to become site managers and help the organisation reach the next level. They operate in the following sectors. Data Centres / Pharma & Life Sciences / Industrial & Healthcare / Commercial & Retail / Residential & Student Accommodation / Transport & Civil Infrastructure and Energy & Renewables

Your new role

Your new role as a General/Groundworks Site Manager is to oversee all aspects of groundworks for a large apartment development based in South Dublin. This project has a strong management and engineering presence currently, so you will be well-supported in your role. You will be responsible for managing site operations from enabling works through to substructure completion, ensuring safety, quality, and programme targets are met.

This role is paid by the hour for financial gain. This project is scheduled to run for at least another 12 months.

Selection of responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day groundworks operations including excavation, drainage, foundations, piling, and utility installations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor progress against programme and work closely with the site team
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets specifications
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, and local authorities as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a groundworks' manager on large-scale build projects
  • Strong knowledge of groundwork techniques, civil engineering principles, and construction sequencing
  • You will be a good people manager and help drive the project on
  • Coming from a trade or third-level background is sought after but not a necessity.
  • This role has the potential for an immediate start, and quicker availability is beneficial.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will work for an organisation that has high-profile developments across sectors like residential, pharmaceutical, data centres, and commercial builds. You will have the opportunity to work and progress on site to more senior level positions and have the chance to work on some large-scale, high-profile projects. They have an annual turnover of over €500m and continue to grow. Their pipeline of work is confirmed for at least the next 5 years.

In your role as a site manager, leadership and initiative is encouraged, giving management autonomy while supporting them with robust systems and resources.

Financially - You will be paid for every hour you work on site. This is an hourly rate between €40.00 - €55.00 per hour. This can be a PAYE worker with paid holidays etc or as a self-employed contractor. Hours available per week can vary from 45-55 for ex-ended income if required.

Salary paid options with financial packages are also an option.
