They are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join our site delivery team on a major residential development. Reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site activities across multiple work areas on large-scale residential developments
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and direct labour on site
- Ensure all works are completed in line with project programme, drawings, and specifications
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality control, and site compliance
- Monitor progress, identify potential delays/issues, and implement solutions proactively
- Liaise with site management, engineers, and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Manage material deliveries, logistics, and site resources efficiently
- Support site reporting, inspections, and handover processes
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a General Foreman on residential construction projects (housing/apartments)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site coordination
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple trades
- A strong focus on health & safety and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and manage site programmes
- Relevant trade or construction qualification (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
