The company has a fleet of over 90 vehicles—including articulated trucks, rigid trucks, tankers, vans, jeeps, forklifts, and it is committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Our team is passionate about delivering high standards and maintaining a modern, efficient fleet and that is where you come in. NOTE: This is not a haulage company, it provides goods and services.

Your new role

As Fleet Manager, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of our fleet operations. Based primarily in Cork, with oversight of vehicles in other locations, you will be responsible for scheduling maintenance, booking repairs with main dealers, managing compliance (DOE, CRVT, RSA standards), and maintaining detailed records.

You’ll also support procurement decisions, including trailer purchases and truck body specifications, and play a key role in health & safety, insurance coordination, and fleet performance reporting. NOTE: You will not be directing drivers, your sole function is the fleet of vehicles.

The company does not have its own workshop, all services and upkeep is done by the main dealerships that provided the vehicles.

What you'll need to succeed

• Mechanic background, ideally with hands-on experience truck experience.
• Deep interest in trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of RSA compliance, DOE, CRVT, and insurance certification requirements
• Good organisational skills and spreadsheet proficiency. (The systems are all in place)
• Ability to manage a fleet without an in-house workshop
• Full clean driving licence
• Willingness to travel to sites (never an overnight stay)
