Finishing Supervisor - North County Dublin – Large Development – Strong Rates / Salaries

Your new company
Your new organisation is one of the largest and most well respected main building contractors. They operate predominately out of Dublin and currently have over 15 active projects. A lot of these projects consist of high-end mixed-use developments, such as residential blocks (150–1100 units depending on the site), Data Centres and high-end commercial fitouts. They are renowned as one of the best contractors in the industry and have a pipeline of work for the next 5+ years due to their ongoing residential and data centre presence, along with their well-established client base. They are in a period of constant expansion, and require several internal or finishing managers/supervisors across several of their build and fitout projects.


Details of this Role
Your new role is based in Clongriffin on a high-end residential development.
  • This is a landmark state-led housing development.
  • Phase 1 will provide 408 apartments, with the wider masterplan aiming for over 2,000 homes plus community facilities.
  • Phase 1 Delivery:
  • 408 A-rated apartments (mix of 1, 2, and 3-bed units)Heights ranging from 3 to 7 storeys
  • Landscaped courtyards, roof terrace, and a 1,433 m² public park
  • A crèche and ground-floor community/cultural spaces

What you'll need to succeed
  • In order to be successful in this position, you must have previously been in a supervisory or management position with a construction contractor. This can be as a lead carpenter or working foreman, for example. You could also be an experienced foreman with several years' previous experience.
  • Previous residential experience (notably in apartments, is favoured)
  • You will professionally be able to manage subcontractors and ensure the programme of work is being met.
  • Coming from a carpentry or plastering trade background is advantageous but not essential.
  • This role will suit a long-time carpenter / working foreman or someone experienced in a Foreman / Finishing position over the last number of years.

What you'll get in return
In return for the above, you will work for a main construction contractor who values their employees and offers a clear progression path to more senior management levels. They have a great reputation within the industry and have very strong senior management in place – delivering high-profile projects. You can be paid either by the hour or on a salary. Both are very beneficial and lucrative (hourly rate options are common place and are a long-term option if that suits your situation).

Hourly rates are in the bracket of €30.00 to €40.00 per hour (typically 45–50 hour weeks – good money to be made and this would also include time and a half and double time. There are PAYE OR Self-Employed options. This is typically €80,000-€105,000 on an hourly rate, based on time worked per year.

In terms of the offered salary, this would be in the region of €70,000 to €80,000 and would come with a vehicle or allowance.

There is typically a review after 6 months regarding performance and salaries/rates.
