Leadership position over Finance & Operations contributing to the growth of a successful Irish company.
Your new company
Our client is a well‑established, profitable and privately owned business operating nationwide in the natural resources sector. With a long trading history, a strong reputation for delivery and a substantial client base of over 8,000 customers, the organisation is entering an important phase of internal development and growth.
The business is focused on strengthening financial control, improving systems and using better financial information to support operational decision‑making across the organisation. Head offices are based in Cork, with activity taking place nationally.
Your new role
This is a Senior Finance and Operational leadership role with responsibility for strengthening the operational and finance function by using financial data to actively drive business and operational decisions. The role will be a highly operational position with an initial focus to manage and modernise the finance function — systems, structure, reporting and controls — ensuring the business has accurate, timely and actionable financial information. The role broadens into a highly influential Operations position supporting how the wider organisation is run.
You will lead a diverse team of approximately 20 people, including finance staff and operational personnel. Working alongside the CEO and the wider team, you will be central to how operational performance is measured, managed and improved. The role is a mix of finance and operational focus which will involve meeting internal stakeholders or customers. Domestic travel will be expected.
There is substantial potential for progression for a high performer as the business continues to grow.
