Your new company

A well-established and growing organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This company have been operating for nearly 100 years, with a well established market hold and further opportunity to grow the business.

This business offers a collaborative and fast-paced working environment, with strong cross-functional engagement across departments. This is a fully office-based role, providing excellent visibility across the business and direct access to key stakeholders.


Your new role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting financial and commercial decision-making through accurate reporting, analysis, and insight. You will work closely with internal teams to enhance financial visibility, support business performance, and maintain high standards of reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining product costings for existing and new products

  • Delivering regular financial and commercial performance reports

  • Analysing margin performance, sales trends, and business KPIs

  • Supporting pricing and commercial decisions with relevant insights and data

  • Maintaining accurate bill of materials and ensuring data integrity

  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations teams

  • Supporting reporting requirements for external bodies and regulatory compliance

  • Assisting with stocktakes and inventory reporting processes

  • Contributing to ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives



What you'll need to succeed

3–5 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
QBE, ACCA, CIMA or similar or working towards
Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Fluent written and spoken English
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
Previous experience working in an Irish owned SME is essential.
