Your new company
Your new company is one of the pre-eminent healthcare, respite and rehabilitation facilities in the West of Ireland. Built upon the vision of the company's founder, it brings together the best-in-class expertise across several disciplines clinical care, elderly care, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy in one place to provide a holistic, rounded and world-class care experience in an age-appropriate and location-appropriate environment. The company is achieving rapid growth after refurbishment and plans to increase revenue in the next two financial years. The parent company also has various interests in construction and property management.
Your new role
You will be the head of the finance department, leading a team of 2 currently but this may grow over time in line with the growth of the company. Along with leading the finance team, you will lead the month-end process, provide timely financial analysis and commentary on company performance, liaise with external auditor and manage year end statutory reporting and tax compliance. You will also be heavily involved in the commercial and operational side of the business, heading up the annual budgeting process while implementing best practice cost control measures across the business, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders within the business. You may also occasionally be required to assist with the construction and property management side of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CPA), preferably with experience within a similar role in an SME environment where you are required to 'wear many hats' across the business as there is a broad focus in this role from people and team management, finance business partnering, financial and management accounting and commercial/strategic planning. A high level of commercial acumen and a strong attention to detail is essential to succeed in this role, as is strong communication skills and a 'can do', solution-first mindset.
