Your new role
As a Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Managing multiple client assignments and meeting deadlines
- Planning and executing accounts preparation processes end-to-end
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships
- Supporting on tax-related matters (VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax) in conjunction with the tax team
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects and process improvements
This is a client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced practice environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in practice (essential requirement)
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (experience with Relate/Surf advantage)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
