Your new role
This is a hands-on Finance Manager role covering maternity leave for 12 months, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. You’ll be stepping into a well-established position within a close-knit finance team, supporting both operational and strategic finance across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across multiple entities
• Ensure accurate completion of:
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Transaction posting checks and corrections
• Prepayments, accruals, and intercompany charges
• Intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation
• Manage and support the finance team in their day-to-day activities
• Oversee the group procurement function
• Partner with senior leadership to set and monitor annual budgets
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Minimum 5 years’ strong accounting experience
• Background in construction, engineering, or related industries preferred
• Solid understanding of inventory and stock movement
• Practice-trained, or strong industry experience
• Personable, collaborative, and ready to roll up their sleeves
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
