Your new role
As the Finance Manager (Practice), you’ll take on a key leadership position, working closely with the Managing Director and overseeing a team of four accountants at various stages of qualification. You’ll guide day-to-day operations, manage client schedules, and drive process improvements, all while fostering a supportive and high-performing team culture. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to shape the future of the practice.
• Manage a team of bookkeepers and accountants
• Oversee client schedules and ensure deadlines are met
• Lead training and development initiatives for the team
• Maintain and grow key client relationships
• Oversee general office management, policies, procedures, and systems
• Liaise with external IT providers on business needs
• Handle ad hoc operational requirements as needed

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience managing a team in an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and business acumen
  • Ideally a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset
  • Ideally, 5 years in a practice management leadership role (preferred)
