Its main activities include the establishment of private forestry plantations, forest management, land sourcing and road building, along with plantation and timber sales. Your new role

We are seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. Acting as the 2IC to the company's MD, this role will provide leadership and oversight of forestry establishment operations, harvesting, timber sales and related forestry services and oversight of the finance team;

Joining the senior management of the Company and participating in matters of strategic importance;

Setting targets, measuring KPIs and leading and encouraging forestry staff in their roles

Liaising with foresters and the Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service in relation to the forestry grants; and

Managing the company’s finance and admin team

What you'll need to succeed

• Possess a high degree of integrity and a commitment to strong governance;

• Be commercially astute, technically strong and be able to drive business performance through metrics.

• Be an excellent administrator with strong communication skills;

• Be IT literate, particularly in Excel and data management;

• Energetic, self-motivated and an innovative approach to business growth and success;

• This role may suit someone with managerial experience in an agricultural business or an operations-focused finance professional with ambitions of senior management.
