Our client is a well-established electrical engineering contractor based in Dublin, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for the commercial, industrial, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors. The company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, with a focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence. Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine inspections, readings, and maintenance operations.
  • Help and oversee subcontractors with maintenance projects.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs related to the established services.
  • Perform necessary maintenance and repairs on the building fabric.
  • Effective handling of service enquiries that the help desk generates.
  • Support and improve service delivery by utilising site systems and equipment efficiently and according to best practices.
  • As needed, draft method statements and risk analyses.
  • Through audits and prompt part purchase, they maintain and assess stock levels and spare parts requirements.
  • Assess the personal risks associated with maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Finish service reports and enter data into the CMMS system.
  • Ascertain that every task is completed safely and in compliance with client procedures.


What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Recognised electrical trade certification (equivalent to National Craft Certificate – Junior & Senior Trades)
  • Solid understanding of electrical regulations and standards, including systems such as fire alarms, access control, building management systems (BMS), HVAC, and refrigeration
  • Broad knowledge of general building maintenance, with a focus on mechanical systems
  • Proven experience working with electrical supply and distribution systems, including low, medium, and high voltage
  • Formal training in low and high voltage systems, ideally to a City & Guilds or equivalent standard
  • Practical experience in LV and HV switching operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with thermographic inspection techniques
  • Competence in portable appliance testing (PAT)
  • Training in permit-to-work systems and safety protocols
