Electrical Site Manager - Hourly Rate - Commercial Project

Your new company
Your new company is an engineering solutions contractor specialising in the commercial, industrial, medical and educational sectors. The services WFL provide range from full 'design and build' turnkey packages to installation, fit-out, maintenance and 24-hour on-call services.

Your new role
The role of the Electrical Site Supervisor is to support the organisation and co-ordination of site-based activities and to lead and co-ordinate teams of Electrical Engineering trade professionals on site. The Electrical Site Supervisor will be responsible for tracking and recording daily site activities and progress. They will lead their teams to deliver to quality, on time and to budget in a safe and efficient manner. The project is a CAT-A commercial fitout in Dublin 3. This is a fast-paced environment, and the person will play a vital part in the smooth-running of the project.
In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:
  • Management of day-to-day site operations
  • Coordinating site activities to ensure work is completed on time
  • Ensuring plant materials onsite meet agreed specifications
  • Managing Quality Control against approved benchmarks
  • Managing subcontractor activities, including progress tracking and damage notices
  • Participating in look-ahead meetings and subcontractor meetings
  • Liaising with health and safety to ensure work is completed safely
  • Staying abreast with housekeeping and material storage management
  • Liaising with clients and departmental managers for timely delivery and effective handover
  • Reporting to Direct Line Contracts Manager

What you need to succeed
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Trade-qualified or construction-related qualification
  • 2+ years' experience on a large-scale project as an Electrical Project Manager or other supervisory role
  • Strong organisation and management skills
  • Ability to manage time, drive productivity and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
  • Interpersonal skills with willingness to work independently and as part of a wider site team

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
You will be paid at a competitive hourly rate between €35 to €45 per hour. These are typically paid for 40 hours per week, and you will be paid for any overtime hours worked. This comes out to approximately 70k to 90k when converted to an annual salary. This is open to PAYE and self-employed workers. It's a great time to join their expanding organisation as you will have great exposure to multi-million-euro projects and grow within to progress to more senior roles.
