Al Electrical Design Engineer (building services) is required for a hybrid role in Galway.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES of an Electrical Design Engineer (building services).
Ideally, you will have 3 years’ Building Services Consultancy Design experience and will be a competent user of Amtech, Relux/Dialux with BIM experience advantageous, and you must be able to deliver detailed designs from RIBA stages A to F. You will fulfil electrical design work as required, working to project deadlines. You will assist modellers to produce detailed working drawings in 3D and scheme drawings as well as developing the project scope with the design team/client.
This role is primarily office/home-based with the occasional representation at client meetings as required. If you can carry out all work in a professional manner, building the company's excellent reputation in the industry, you can pave your way for a successful career for years to come.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Degree qualification in Electrical Design Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
  • Proficient user of the following:
    • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.)
    • Autodesk Applications (AutoCAD/Design Review)
    • Amtech, Relux or Dialux
  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) experience will be advantageous.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.
  • Good knowledge and experience in the following Electrical design areas: Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power & Data, Fire alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS.
  • Excel at working on several projects simultaneously & show the ability to prioritise and plan work.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities whilst working flexibly as part of a team.
  • Ability to make prompt, disciplined project decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail & interpersonal skills
