Document Controller

Your new company

This client is a leading main building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality commercial and residential projects across Ireland. Known for their commitment to innovation, safety, and excellence in construction, they partner with top developers and design teams to deliver projects ranging from large-scale office developments to complex residential builds. With a growing project pipeline and a focus on best‑in‑class delivery, they are now seeking a dedicated Document Controller to join their expanding team.

Your new role

As a Document Controller, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by maintaining organised, accurate, and accessible documentation across multiple construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure all documentation follows company standards and industry best practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, detail‑oriented role and enjoys working in a fast‑paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, track, and organise all project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, method statements, and technical submittals.
  • Maintain and update the document control system (e.g., Viewpoint, Procore, Aconex, 4Projects, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Issue, receive, and distribute documents to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring the latest revisions are always available.
  • Ensure document control procedures are adhered to across all projects.
  • Support project teams in uploading, filing, and retrieving information as required.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to coordinate the flow of documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain document registers, trackers, logs, and reports.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and compliant with quality standards.
  • Assist with project handover documentation (O&M manuals, as‑built documents, certifications).
  • Provide general administrative support to the project team when required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working as a Document Controller within a main contractor, subcontractor, or construction consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of document control processes within construction projects.
  • Proficiency with document management systems (such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A proactive, team-focused approach with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be employed by one of Ireland's leading general building contractors on one of their projects based in Dublin city.

You will work alongside a team of construction professionals who will offer support and guidance where they can. There is a guaranteed pipeline of work which can range across sectors.

They are offering a base salary between €45,000 - €55,000 depending on experience. There will be a benefits package on top of this which can be negotiated. You will receive an efficient number of annual leave days which can increase over longevity. They offer ongoing training and professional development, including support and software upskilling and industry certifications. They offer access to leading digital tools and management platforms. There is a strong emphasis on a work-life balance and employee wellbeing.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest or background within the construction sector who is seeking a new challenge to progress in their career.
