Deputy DPO | Dublin City/Hybrid | Permanent

Your new company

Your new company is a commercial, semi-state body conveniently located in Dublin 2. They are accessible via public transport, including Dublin Bus, LUAS and Dart. They are looking for you to join them on a permanent basis as a Deputy Data Protection Officer.

Your new role

Your new duties will include, but not be limited to, assisting the DPO in monitoring compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and internal policies. You will review, develop and implement policies and guidance materials. You will be involved with preparing reports for the Executive Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee, and other Board Committees as required. You will be responsible for guiding and supporting colleagues to implement data protection-compliant initiatives. You will also triage reported incidents, assess risks, and recommend remedial actions.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in your new role, you will have experience in data protection, information governance, legal, or compliance roles. You will have proven knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will have the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex legal/technical matters clearly. You will have the ability to motivate a team and contribute to a positive data protection culture within the team and organisation overall.
