Data Modeller / Analyst (373609)

Data Modeler / Analyst (12‑Month Contract)
Job ID: 373609 Join our Data Architecture team as we build a modern, governed lakehouse to power analytics at scale. We’re looking for a highly experienced Data Modeler / Analyst who can shape domain models end‑to‑end and partner closely with senior engineers, architects, and product leaders.
If you love designing elegant data structures, improving performance, and influencing technical direction, this role is for you.
✨ What You’ll Do
  • Lead domain discovery sessions with business and technical partners
  • Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models including ERDs and schema diagrams
  • Develop data flow diagrams (DFDs) and system interaction maps
  • Design production‑grade Azure Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines
  • Architect and optimise MySQL storage, including indexing, partitioning, and physical modelling.
  • Define data contracts, SLAs, and integration standards
  • Tune performance and cost across Delta Lake and MySQL workloads
  • Embed governance, lineage, and metadata best practices throughout the ecosystem
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to broader technical strategy
✔ Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional data modelling experience
  • Expertise with Azure Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Delta Lake
  • Strong MySQL physical modelling and optimisation experience
  • Ability to produce high‑quality logical and physical diagrams (ERDs, DFDs, schema models)
  • Strong SQL and modelling fundamentals
Preferred Experience
  • Databricks + Azure Cloud
  • Data observability tooling
  • Exposure to regulated healthcare environments
