Data Analyst - Dublin

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our client, based in Dublin city, in a high-performing analytics team, supporting a wider international data function. This is a maternity cover contract, with strong potential for extension as the team continues to grow and take on additional work.
This role is well suited to a hands-on analyst with excellent SQL skills who enjoys working close to the data, ensuring quality, accuracy, and reliability across reporting and downstream systems.
Your new role
As a Data Analyst, you will work primarily with relational data, supporting data processing, validation, and issue resolution across multiple environments. You will collaborate closely with Data Quality engineers and international stakeholders to identify data issues, investigate root causes, and ensure high standards of data integrity.
The team is currently on a journey toward Snowflake, so any experience in this space will be a strong differentiator.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries to support analysis, validation, and reporting needs
- Work with relational databases to process, reconcile, and move data between environments
- Collaborate with Data Quality engineers to identify, investigate, and resolve data issues
- Support QA-focused activities, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Participate in the software and data lifecycle, from development through to production support
- Engage with stakeholders across Ireland and the US, providing clear and timely updates
What you'll need to succeed
- Very strong SQL expertise (this is the core requirement)
- Solid experience working with relational databases
- Experience in data validation, QA, or data quality-focused environments
- Understanding of data processing and data movement between systems
- Comfortable working as part of a small local team while supporting a larger remote/global team
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Experience with SSIS and/or SSRS
- Python experiences for data analysis or automation
