Your new role
As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing multiple construction projects from pre‑construction through to handover. You will ensure that all contractual, commercial, programme, and quality obligations are met while leading project teams to deliver outstanding results.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of several concurrent construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Leading project planning, programming, and resource allocation across multidisciplinary teams.
- Overseeing contractual compliance, risk management, and commercial performance.
- Working closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong communication and project clarity.
- Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Supporting tender reviews, buildability assessments, and strategic project planning.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project managers, engineers, and site teams.
This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys managing high‑value, technically challenging commercial construction projects.
What you’ll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- 5–7 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Management role within commercial construction.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering medium‑to‑large‑scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and project governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- A track record of driving programme performance, cost control, and quality assurance.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving and risk mitigation.
