Your new role

The Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of one large project or multiple sites, ensuring the effective implementation of our processes and procedures. This role plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while strictly adhering to the company’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. For large, multisectional, or highly complex projects, the Project Manager may be on-site as part of a broader team. However, in most cases, they take full responsibility for overseeing and successfully delivering multiple sites.

Key Activities

  • Liaise with various staff and senior stakeholders, including clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor.

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the project through leadership, management, and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Management of Design Team relationships

  • Management of the design development processes, including the RFI processes and design development workshop activities, where required.

  • Manage sub-contractors, engineering, and operational staff on site.

  • Plan weekly work programmes and produce weekly reports on project progress.

  • Oversee the site team to ensure key milestones are met.

  • Manage the project design process while working alongside the commercial team.

  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager and report progress to ensure the site programme aligns with budget and commercial objectives.

  • Continuously reinforce the Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site.

  • Attend and chair weekly management meetings.

  • Manage the complete day-to-day lifecycle of the project, from initial stages through to handover.

Education & Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant studies or certifications related to contractual management or other role-specific areas.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the demands and expectations of the role in a dynamic environment.
