Our client is a leader in its industry supplying parts & accessories across Ireland and the UK. Recently acquired by a global organisation, this business is entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation, offering you the chance to make a real impact in this contract role.


Your new role

As Company Accountant, you will take ownership of the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will manage daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Daily: Bank summary reporting, processing payments, recording transactions on Sage, and managing intercompany transfers.
  • Weekly: Payroll, voucher updates, and team reporting.
  • Monthly: Preparation of accounts, P/L/BS, management reports, stock valuation, supplier payment runs, bank reconciliations, VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns, expense processing,
  • Ad hoc: Admin, office stock management, and HR-related tasks such as annual leave tracking.
  • Project: Opportunity to improve processes and systems


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a similar standalone role, ideally within a fast-paced SME environment.
  • Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Need to be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in – in an SME, happy to help out in all areas.
  • Available immediately or at short notice to take up this contract.
  • Must have experience working in Ireland with knowledge of local legislation to be considered.
