This role is designed as a progression opportunity, offering clear visibility and a pathway into a future Director-level position.

Your new role

As Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the commercial and financial performance across a portfolio of engineering projects. Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a central role in driving profitability, managing commercial risk, and supporting the wider growth strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the commercial function across multiple live projects

• Managing contracts, procurement, subcontractor engagement, and negotiations

• Supporting tendering, bid preparation, and business development activity

• Delivering accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Providing commercial insight and strategic input to senior stakeholders

• Implementing scalable commercial processes to support ongoing growth

• Supporting the development of the commercial team as the business expands
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a Commercial Manager role

• Strong contractual, financial, and negotiation expertise

• Experience within complex engineering, construction, or industrial environments

• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Ambition to progress into a senior leadership role
