Senior regulatory and contracts role within utilities

Our client operates a power system with world-leading levels of variable asynchronous renewable generation, ensuring that the Island of Ireland has power when they need it.
Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for a customer-focussed and motivated individual to lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality support to their customers and industry stakeholders. These customers and stakeholders are important to Ireland in many aspects including the achievement of
Renewable targets, the continuation of sustainable economic growth, supporting security of supply and the transition of the Irish power system.
The successful candidate will be required to interact on a regular basis with senior management and C-suite executives in the customers’ and stakeholders’ organisations and to manage complex and challenging interactions and to drive better outcomes for all. The role will also require the successful candidate to deputise for the Head of the department when required.
What you'll need to succeed
• Degree or equivalent qualification with 8+ years’ experience in a regulated industry, ideally the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, including technical, commercial, and legal aspects.
• Proven experience managing customer and stakeholder relationships in complex environments.
• Demonstrated success in project management and delivery.
• Broad knowledge of the power industry and key industry stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience driving innovation and implementing process improvements.
• Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and develop high-performance capabilities.
• Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
What you'll get in return
- Permanent contract, based in Dublin 4 head office
- The base salary range for this role is €80,000 - €95,000 depending on experience.
- Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (effective immediately):
- Yearly Performance Related Bonus: Up to 15%, prorated in Year 1.
- Annual Leave: 28 days + 2 additional Company Days (taken on Good Friday and over the Christmas holiday period)
