Your new company

This practice firm are seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to join the team. Those applying must have previous experience working in a small - medium-sized Irish practice firm and have a strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, taxation and legislation in the Irish market. This firm are a specialist small firm, who partner with a well-established client base and give taxation, compliance and outsourced financial services.

This is a non-audit role.
The office is based in Dublin city centre. Hybrid working available up to 4 days per week.

Your new role

You will work with a variety of non-audit client types and sizes and be responsible for all facets of accounts production. You will work with some audit clients and liaise with audit firms as required to ensure a smooth client experience.

Duties

• Produce statutory financial statements for a variety of clients within your portfolio
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Corporate advisory and consulting – M&A, re-org, formation, raising revenue, compliance and more
• Tax returns – CTO, VAT, Payroll etc
• Meeting with clients both in person and virtually
• General admin, filing and document control

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must be well versed in Irish statutory requirements and have at least 7+ years' experience in another practice role.

Requirements

• Previous SME practice or client accounting exposure essential.
• Qualified accountant – ACA, CPA, ACCA
• Minimum 5 years PQE within practice
• Ability to work well on your own initiative
• Strong corporate tax understanding
• Ability to produce accounts to review stage in a standalone capacity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to easily relay complex financial data to non-finance professionals and international clients
• Experience using Bright accounts (Surf / Relate) and Xero an advantage.

What you'll get in return

This role offers a salary up to €80,000 with some potential for further negotiation for 10+ years relevant experience. This role offers excellent flexibility and autonomy to work on your own initiative. This firm hold a policy of flexible working, and ensure all team members are supported.
