Your new company

As Clerical Officer, you will join the National Museum of Ireland, who are known as Ireland's leading museum institution, with a strong emphasis on national and some international archaeology, Irish history, Irish art, culture, and natural history. Your new position is administrative support within the Registration Department. Your new office is located in Dublin City and is accessible via public transport. Your new company requires you to join their team on a 8-month assignment. You will have the option to work from home 1 day per week.

Your new role

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, administrative and financial support for the whole department; day-to-day facilities; producing minutes, reports and updates; filing; conducting daily walk-throughs, surveys and spot-checks of the Collections Resource Centre Collections and non-collections spaces; contributing to the gradual improvements of the storage of the collections and providing support for data projects on Collections Management System.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain invaluable experience within the National Museum of Ireland.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have relevant experience in a similar administrative support role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Excellent IT skills, including MS Suite is required. A keen eye for detail as well as strong writing skills (both report writing and minuting) is necessary.

Any knowledge of the museum environment and museum collections is desirable.

With clear and relevant examples of your career achievements within a similar environment with proficient administrative and organisational skills, you will be a very strong candidate for this role.
