Civil Foreman - Groundworks

The Company
A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join their team on a major groundworks project in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a background in civil works to oversee site operations, ensure high-quality delivery, and drive productivity on a busy, fast-moving project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site groundworks activities.
  • Manage site crews, subcontractors, and plant to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring full compliance with site standards and legislation.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and materials to keep the project on schedule.
  • Liaise with Site Management, Engineers, and QS teams to support project delivery.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols.
  • Solve day-to-day site issues efficiently to keep work moving.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Foreman on civil or groundworks projects in Ireland.
  • Strong knowledge of groundworks including drainage, utilities, foundations, RC works, and general civils.
  • Ability to lead crews effectively and maintain high standards of work.
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to read drawings and work closely with engineering teams.
